Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has made personal attempt to sign AC Milan fullback Theo Hernandez.

Calciomercato.com says Guardiola made a call to the player's agent to express his admiration last season.

However, his approach wasn't enough as Theo committed to a new deal.

The Frenchman penned terms to 2026.

Instead, City swooped for Spanish left-back Sergio Gomez over the summer, signing him from Anderlecht.
