Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has jumped to the defence of Jurgen Klopp regarding his upcoming FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury Town.
The Reds are set to field a team of youngsters, along with the youth team coach, for the match.
It falls during the period the Premier League had designated for its winter break, which puts the team in a spot of bother.
Klopp stated he was honouring the break instituted by the Premier League, and Guardiola came to his defence.
"Listen, We accept the schedules of the competitions, the games every two or three days," said Guardiola to reporters.
"But don't tell the manager which the selection he has to choose, please. That's our job.
"They do what they want to do and we will be there - which day, at this time, we'll be there - but it's not for them to tell us which players we have to play in games. That's our duty."
