Giovanni Malago, the Italian National Olympic Committee's president, has urged AC Milan and Juventus to end their public row.

The two giants have exchanged insults over the manner of Carlos Tevez's opening goal for Juve's win on Saturday.

"I think there's a problem of form, and one of substance," said Malago.

"In terms of form I think that Sky, who were directly involved, explained the status of the situation very well.

"As far as the statements released by the clubs, those who represent the institutions should never lose their style, and that's all I've got to say about that."
