Lyon are pushing to sign Celta Vigo midfielder Papa Diop.

Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas is in the market for a new midfield signing before the transfer deadline falls after losing Corentin Tolisso (Bayern Munich) and Maxime Gonalons (Napoli) this summer.

Le Progres says his search has led him to Diop, who is also a major target for Tottenham.

OL hope to nick Diop from under Spurs' nose by offering €10m to Celta this week with the view to signing the youngster on the weekend.
