LVG booed as he thanks Man Utd fans for ‘unconditional support’

Louis van Gaal was the subject of boos and jeers some from sections of the Manchester United fans on Tuesday night.

The Dutchman addressed the Old Trafford crowd after his side ended their 2015/16 Premeir League season with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth and despite thanking the crowd for their support, there was a negative reception from some parts of the Red Devils faithful.

Van Gaal has been under pressure from United fans all season and it is evident that many want him out this summer and former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho in.

"I want to thank you for the unconditional support of you," he said after Wayne Rooney, Marcus Rashford and Ashley Young scored in the final fixture of the campaign which saw United finish fifth.

"Whenever we have played, however the things have gone on the field, you never let us down.

"Thank you for that and we want to bring the FA Cup home. You deserve it. Thank you."

United will now meet Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday which could quite possibly be van Gaal's last game in charge, according to multiple reports.
