Luton boss Edwards: I can see us improving - it's in the stats

Luton Town boss Rob Edwards admits the international break has been a chance to regroup.

The Hatters go to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Edwards said of the past fortnight: "Bit of rest, recuperate. We finished with a three-game Premier League week. It was the first time we'd done that so that was very intense for us. We rested the players but then trying to build on the work we've been doing.

"We've progressed well so we'll make sure we keep doing the things we're doing well and improving in areas we need to focus on.

"I can see it in my eyes and in stats as well. We're starting to create some chances and keep opponents out a bit more. There are areas we can improve in the game, we need to have the ball under control for longer now.

"We are effective when we attack quickly. First half against Wolves is the best we've played so far. We had an aggressive nature, kept it well and knew when to speed the game up."

Of facing Forest manager Steve Cooper, he added: "Cooper has done an amazing job. Four and a bit years in management and every year has been very successful. What he's done there at that club, no one else has been able to do that in a long time. He deserves a lot of credit.

"He's doing well again this season. It's a strong group, competing in every game. Hopefully we get one over on them. It will be another tough one for us."
