Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui has three games to save his job amid claims of contact with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
In Italy, it's suggested Conte was contacted by Real on Monday.
Marca reports Lopetegui's future now depends on the three next matches: Levante, Viktoria Plzen and Barcelona.
Madrid already spoke to Conte last summer and despite initial discussions about the role, negotiations never reached an advanced stage.
At the time, the Italian was still contracted to Chelsea and was not willing to miss out on his highly lucrative pay-out, which the London club eventually had to fulfil in order to part ways with Conte and bring in Maurizio Sarri.
