Livorno coach Serse Cosmi was left in awe by hat-trick hero Cristiano Lucarelli after yesterday's 3-3 draw with Roma.

Lucarelli was unstoppable in the six-goal thriller.

"Lucarelli is not they key to Livorno's football. Lucarelli IS Livorno," said Cosmi. "Before the match I had told the lads to follow their captain's example. I had never said that before and Cristiano proved himself to be a great man.

"I think President Aldo Spinelli will be happy about it, too. They have had their ups and downs, but ultimately always get back to their love for this club."
