Liverpool youngster Elliott always confident fighting back from injury: Great feeling

Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott states that he is living the dream after his successful return to the first-team.

The midfielder was impressive early last season, but suffered an injury against Leeds that ruled him out until February.

However, he is back to his best this term, scoring three goals this season and providing an assist in a win over Southampton on Saturday.

"Yeah, absolutely [this is what I dreamed of] but at the same time we need to understand that I'm still young and am going to be rotated a lot as well," he said post-game.

"There is always going to be that rotation. But I just need to make sure that when I am in the team or coming off the bench I am performing and doing the best I can for the team, just making sure I am applying myself in training to show the gaffer that I am trusted and that I can play.

"As I said, it's always a great feeling putting on the shirt, going out and playing, walking out to You'll Never Walk Alone , and hopefully there's many more feelings for myself in the future. But I'm just really enjoying my football now and getting the wins along the way is always a bonus. I'm just here to help the team and do what I can when I'm trusted."
