Liverpool has decided to stop their pursuit of Max Kruse.
The 31-year-old will become a free agent this summer after finishing his contract with Werder Bremen.
He has been linked with the Reds, who are searching for a back-up forward.
The Liverpool Echo says the club have decided they will use Rhian Brewster and Divock Origi to fulfil the role.
Origi is on the verge of signing a new contract.
