Liverpool striker Sadio Mane has revealed how manager Jurgen Klopp picked his players up ahead of their stunning Champions League semifinal defeat of Barcelona.

The Reds won the tie 4-3, having lost the first-leg in Spain 3-0.

Mane recalled to France Football: “He always knows how to find the right distance and sometimes it surprises us like last season before the return against FC Barcelona in the Champions League.

"'Hi guys, I have good news for you.

"'Yes, the good news is that Barcelona is a team that plays and we love those teams. You'll see, we're going to reach the final'.

"It was really the best way to take the pressure off."
