Liverpool striker Diogo Jota says victory over Toulouse was good for their young players.

Jota struck as Liverpool thumped their Europa League opponents 5-1 on Thursday night.

He later said, "It was a very good win. We got the early goal, which always helps.

'We controlled the game after that and we're very happy with the three points. The players who came in did very well too, including the younger ones.

"That was the plan. We can seal qualification in the next game, which was our aim at the start of the season. That's what we want to do and we're confident we can achieve it."
