Liverpool striker Jayden Danns says he'll always appreciate manager Jurgen Klopp for giving him his debut.

Danns made a first team breakthrough earlier this year and recently penned a new contract.

“To be honest, every time I've spoken to the manager (Klopp) he's just been really encouraging and he's probably the perfect role model. As a manager, I personally think he is the best in the world and when you look at him you are a little starstruck and he has a certain aura around him," Danns told the club's official website.

"So, yeah, every time you talk to him it makes sense and his biggest message is probably just work hard and even Pep (Lijnders)... he's also had a big impact on me and his message has been to work hard and do the same thing. So in my mind I'm just going to take whatever they give me and work as hard as I can to try to refine my tools and be the best player I can be."

Danns also says that Ibrahima Konaté , in particular, has taken care of him in the senior squad.

"To be fair, everyone has been very good to me. I mean, they've been really welcoming, but I'd say Ibou has probably been the main one. He's so bubbly as a character, you can't describe him as a personality, you go up there and he just says, 'Dannsy!'."
