Liverpool have ruled out a return for former star Michael Owen.
The Mail on Sunday says Liverpool will not rush to sign former Kop hero Owen before Tuesday's 25-man Premier League squads are announced, despite a lack of firepower in Brendan Rodgers's squad.
The out-of-contract Owen, 32, tweeted on Saturday: "Spoken to a few clubs. I expect something to happen early next week."
Sunderland and West Ham are keen on the ex-England striker, but Liverpool do not want him despite failing to replace Andy Carroll.
