Liverpool are seeking talks with Sven Mislintat about their sporting director's post.

Liverpool are interested in appointing the former Arsenal chief scout, says Sky Deutschland.

Mislintat spent time in North London working under both Arsene Wenger and Mikel Arteta, although he was sacked just 18 months later.

The German's most recent job was at Stuttgart before he was relieved of his duties earlier this week.

Mislintat worked with Reds manager Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.
