Liverpool are on the brink of landing Marseille attacker Andre Ayew.
The Daily Star says the 24-year-old is coming to the end of his contract with the Ligue 1 club meaning Brendan Rodgers would be able to snap up the Ghanaian star on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Rodgers is becoming increasingly frustrated with miss-firing Mario Balotelli, who is yet to register a Premier League goal, and could turn to Ayew in the summer or try and bring him to Anfield for a cut-price fee in January.
Liverpool have struggled to replace Luis Suarez since his summer move to Barcelona and have also had to deal with an injury to Daniel Sturridge.
