Liverpool are eyeing a surprise move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The Sunday Express says Reds boss Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in another keeper to provide competition for Simon Mignolet and Brad Jones on Merseyside.
And while Barca won't countenance a permanent departure for Ter Stegen, reports in Spain suggest Liverpool are hopeful that the Catalan outfit might be amenable to a short term loan deal.
But it remains to be seen whether Barca are genuinely willing to consider letting the German international leave before the end of the transfer window.
