Liverpool's Smith targeting regular game time with Swindon

Brad Smith is eager to receive as many minutes as possible with loan club Swindon Town.

The 20-year old Australian-born left-back is on a season-long loan from Liverpool and is looking to make a big impact with the Robins following his League One debut in the weekend's 3-1 win over Scunthorpe United.

"I just want to get as many minutes as possible and help the lads do as well as they can this season," Smith told the Swindon Advertiser.

"I've played 21s for three years and Under-18s before that. I got a sniff of the first team but it's good to be out here and get some experience with a good team."

Swindon boss Mark Cooper was full of praise for the New South Wales native who has represented England at youth level.

"The more Brad Smith trains and gets used to us and the more we get used to him, the more we'll see from him," Cooper told reporters.
