Liverpool youngster Martin Kelly admits the faith shown in him by manager Kenny Dalglish has helped give him confidence.
The 21-year old full-back has started the past four Reds matches in the absence of Glen Johnson and says the opportunities he has been given by Dalglish has assisted in him putting in highly improved performances.
"I think he trusts all the players here, based on what he sees in training every day. I think you need that trust as a manager, as well as a player. It works both ways.
"For me to have his trust is fantastic. You're playing for the manager, and for the fans as well. I want to keep working hard to ensure he keeps trusting me.
"The kind of player that Kenny was, and the idol that he is to so many people, to know he's willing to put you in gives you extra confidence.
"For him to be our manager is fantastic for us players and for the club and I can only see good things happening here.""It's always good to know the manager trusts you enough to put you in the side," Kelly told LFC Magazine.
