Liverpool are rated as favourites to sign Chelsea contract rebel Mason Mount.

Talks over a new deal continue to stall, with Mount's current contract with less than 18 months to run.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a fan and the Athletic says the Reds are in the "strongest position" in the Premier League to land Mount and could do so this summer.

Klopp is eager to overhaul his midfield and Mount's energy and style of play is admired by the German.

Chelsea are expected to sell the England midfielder should the contract impasse continue.

Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, now in charge of Bayern Munich, is also keen.
