Liverpool are readying a bid for Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

Marca says Liverpool will have their last chance to sign Soler this week, with Valencia keen to cash in on their man before the window shuts.

The 25-year-old's contract runs out in 2023, meaning Spanish outfit Valencia will have to cash in this summer or risk losing him on a free - a development which has propped up ears around Europe.

This interest includes Liverpool, which are struggling with midfield injuries.

The addition of the Spaniard could strengthen Liverpool's injury-prone midfield and fill an age bracket very much lacking in the middle of the park - he would also likely come at a cut price due to his contract.
