Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to sell Rickie Lambert this month.

The Sun on Sunday says Lambert will be sold by Liverpool if they can secure the return of on-loan star Divock Origi in this transfer window.

Origi was bought by Liverpool in the summer on the back of his impressive performances at the World Cup, but was sent back on a season-long loan to Lille.

Lambert has been out-of-favour at Liverpool since his summer move to the club, but made a case for a starting spot after netting a goal in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa this weekend.
