Liverpool ponder new loan move for Macclesfield keeper Pitaluga

Liverpool goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga could be on the move in January after starring for Macclesfield.

The Brazilian has kept 11 clean sheets so far this term to help Macclesfield reach the top of the Northern Premier League Division One West table. And Liverpool youth coach Neil Danns believes he could move to a higher club.

“He's having a great season so far, he's kept a lot of clean sheets and I think it's a great experience for him," Danns told This Is Anfield.

“Just playing in front of 3,000, 4,000 some weeks will give him that experience and allow him to play in that competitive environment.

“He's started off really, really well. He has a lot of amazing attributes that I'm sure will stand him in good stead going forward. He still trains with Liverpool, and Liverpool's first team, during the week, so that obviously adds to his progress."
