Liverpool are assessing their chances of signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Matheus Nunes.

The Reds are desperate to add a quality midfielder to manager Jurgen Klopp's squad.

However, their attempts to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica appear to have hit an impasse.

Per The Telegraph, Liverpool may now be turning their attention to Nunes of Wolves instead.

Despite the Portuguese not hitting the ground running at Wolves, the Reds view him as a huge talent who can be a long term part of their squad.
