Liverpool players will support manager Jurgen Klopp should he go with teenager Billy Koumetio.

The 17 year-old is in line for a call-up after Joe Gomez joined Virgil van Dijk in undergoing knee surgery today.

Klopp could call upon Koumetio who left his team-mates 'raving about his talents' before the Community Shield this season.

The Athletic reports the Liverpool manager rates the French youngster highly and could call upon his services.

He is believed to have a bright future at Anfield and feature prominently in the short pre-season this year.
