Liverpool's Adam Lallana is confident Christian Benteke will now put his dry spell behind him.
The Belgian striker came off the bench to win and convert a controversial late penalty as the Reds came from a goal down with ten men to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Sunday.
It was Benteke's first goal since late December and teammate Lallana has now backed him to kick on and provide more important moments for the club in the business end of the campaign.
"I was delighted for Christian," Lallana told the Liverpool Echo.
"He's been working extremely hard lately to try to get back in the team.
"He's a top striker. He has proved himself in the Premier League. Sometimes you go through barren spells, we've all had them.
"He showed great composure to score after being brought down for the penalty. It was ice-cool the way he put it away.
"It's a massive moment for Christian and the team. I'm sure he'll push on from this now."
