Liverpool midfielder Gravenberch: What Klopp told me before debut

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch was delighted with his full debut in their 3-1 Europa League win at LASK.

The Dutchman laid on an assist for Luis Diaz on the night.

Asked about his role, Gravenberch revealed the instructions he received from manager Jurgen Klopp.

He told liverpoolfc.com: "Yesterday after training he came to me and said to me [to] feel free, you know, you can do whatever you want, of course you have to do your things, but he just said feel free and show yourself and the Ryan you are."

On the LASK support, he added: "Of course, but I had that at Ajax and also Bayern Munich and now at Liverpool.

"You saw tonight when they scored the first goal the crowd was fully behind them, but at the end we stayed patient and turned it around, so we are very happy with that."
