Liverpool midfielder Arthur returns to training with Everton clash on agenda

Liverpool midfielder Arthur Melo has hit the training pitch.

Arthur has returned to training and is hoping to contribute as Jurgen Klopp intensifies preparations for the upcoming Merseyside derby.

The 26-year old worked out with Liverpool's fringe players on Sunday and was showing no ill effects as he joined up with the first team squad at the AXA Training Centre in Kirkby on Wednesday, says the Daily Mail.

Arthur's spell on loan from Juventus has been blighted by the fact he tore a thigh muscle in October after struggling to make up for the lack of a proper pre-season with his parent club owing to conjecture over his future.

Though frustrated, he has remained upbeat and, after Wednesday's session, is now determined to help Liverpool revive their league form.
