Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen was proud of his performance in their Europa League clash with Zenit St Petersburg.

The Reds won 3-1 on the night, but were still eliminated.

"Hopefully I can build on that performance," said Allen.

"I'd like to think I've got a big part to play between now and the end of the season.

"Hopefully I can get the standard back up there and really help the team get some results."
