Liverpool are in talks with Bayern Munich for midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri. The Daily Star says Brendan Rodgers has already signed Rickie Lambert from the Southampton and Shaqiri could be the next man to join the Anfield outfit.
The Swiss winger has struggled to break into the Bayern first-team and it's hardly surprised when you consider they have the talents of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery at their disposal.
Rodgers spoke of a desire to sign players who are versatile as he prepares his squad for the rigors of the Champions League and Shaqiri fits the bill.
The 22-year-old can play on either flank or through the middle and would link perfectly with the Reds' existing talents.
