Liverpool are leading the race for Toulouse defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

Tuttosport says they have reportedly intensified their interest in Todibo following Joe Gomez's injury blow.

Gomez is facing more than a month on the sidelines after fracturing his ankle and Jurgen Klopp will be in no mood to rush him back.

And the England international's injury might mean Liverpool splash the cash to bolster their defence in the January transfer window.

Todibo is in the Reds' sights, with Manchester United and Juventus also sniffing around the 18-year-old.
