Liverpool chiefs have held talks with the agent of Naby Keita over his situation.
The Guinea midfielder is yet to feature this season with illness keeping him out of the Fulham game on August 6 before he was an unused substitute in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace last week.
German media sources say Keita is unhappy with his situation at Anfield, with his contract inside it's final 12 months.
The Liverpool Echo says talks remain ongoing with the No.8's representatives over a new deal, however, with the club having a good relationship with agent Bjorn Bezemer, who also represents Sadio Mane.
Face-to-face talks were held over Keita's future in Spain earlier this month.
