Liverpool icon Gerrard to receive £20m offer from LA Galaxy

MLS champions LA Galaxy are set to offer Steven Gerrard a big-money, multi-year deal according to reports.

The Mirror is reporting that 2014 MLS Cup winners will put forward a similar proposal to Liverpool captain Gerrard as the one they landed David Beckham with back in 2007.

It is believed that 34-year old Gerrard, who will leave Anfield at the end of the current Premier League season, will be offered £20million ($USD30.6m) over four years to come across to Los Angeles.

Gerrard has had a marvelous career with Liverpool, winning the 2005 Champions League as well as two FA Cups, two League Cups, one UEFA Cup and a UEFA Super Cup, but will walk out the exit door after about 25 years with the club when the 2014/15 campaign is complete.

The former England skipper has made clear that he will not play for a Premier League rival which has prompted plenty of speculation that he will be making a new home in America with the Galaxy leading the way ahead of New York Red Bulls and New York City FC who are also reportedly showing significant interest.
