Liverpool great Gerrard: We must enjoy Klopp while he's here

Liverpool great Steven Gerrard has warned manager Jurgen Klopp won't be in charge forever.

Klopp took over at Liverpool in October 2015, just months after Gerrard called time on his Anfield career, and has gone on to win every major trophy over the past seven years - including the Champions League in 2019 and the club's maiden Premier League title 12 months later.

While previously admitting his desire to be Liverpool manager in the past, the Reds legend has no desire to see the German leave the club anytime soon.

“As a Liverpool fan, but having also been involved elsewhere in the Premier League and at Rangers, I think being back now and being part of this Liverpool family, we all have to appreciate what we've got," he said of Klopp at the Forever Reds Christmas Lunch.

“Because we might not understand how big and how important this guy is until maybe one day he decides to go. We just need to keep enjoying the ride under him. It's fantastic."
