Liverpool fullback Ramsay proud making Scotland debut: A massive achievement

Liverpool fullback Calvin Ramsay was delighted making his debut for Scotland in Wednesday's friendly defeat to Turkey.

Ramsay impressed as a halftime substitute.

He said afterwards: "It's a massive achievement for me.

"My family were here, so for me to come on and make my debut for Scotland it's a dream come true for all of us.

"It was a tough game, they're a good side. Second half was much better, we created more chances, were on top of them a bit more. It's going to be tough when you go 2-0 down, but you've got to keep your head, get on the ball and try to make an impression.

"It's not been the longest camp, but I've still learnt a lot, and hopefully I can come away with them again and keep learning.

"I don't really get nervous, I try to keep as calm as I can because I know if I'm going onto the pitch nervous, I'll overthink things.

"It's brilliant having [Andy Robertson] here, I've got him at my club as well, so he's been giving me advice and helping me. I know I've got him, and there's a few other boys I played with at Aberdeen. I'm enjoying it."
