Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk insists they can still reach the top four this season.

Van Dijk says if they focus on their remaining games Liverpool can still qualify for the Champions League.

"It's important but, at this point, it's something that is out of our hands a little bit and everyone realises that," said Van Dijk.

"The season is not over yet, there are still so many points to get and all we have to do is win the game ahead of us, that's the target. Especially with the season we've had, we can't think about the next games to come, just the game that's ahead of us.

"We are trying to get that consistency and the only way to get it is by doing it in games.

"We train well and the manager can see that. But at the end of the day, it's what happens on the pitch in games. We have been doing better. We will try to get there and if we want to achieve something good for next season, we have to win all the games ahead of us."
