Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips hopes to face AC Milan striker Divock Origi in the Dubai Super Cup.
The Belgian could face Liverpool for the first time since his seven-year spell with the club came to an end in the summer when he departed for Italy.
"I hope he is there," Phillips told Liverpoolfc.com following the conclusion of Wednesday's training session in the United Arab Emirates.
"I am looking forward to seeing him and it'll be nice because I got on well with Div."

For Phillips, taking on Milan will hold personal significance.
It was in December of 2021 the centre-back produced an outstanding display to help Liverpool record a 2-1 victory at San Siro in the Champions League group stage.
"It was a game I enjoyed and obviously playing at the San Siro was an experience I was fortunate enough to have had," he recollected. "We're looking forward to having another opportunity to prepare for going back [home]."
