Liverpool are confident outbidding Benfica for Vasco da Gama starlet Talles Magno.

AS says the teenage forward has caught the Reds' attention at Vasco da Gama, as well as other European teams.

Benfica are rivalling Liverpool for Magno's signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Portuguese have already made an offer of £2.6m to gain priority over the signing in a bid to see off competition for the young talent's services.

They are also willing to match any bid that Vasco da Gama receives for Magno up until December this year.

However, Liverpool have now joined the bidding 'aggressively' as they aim to blow Benfica out of the water. Magno has a release clause worth close to a whopping £43m.

But Liverpool are confident settling terms for around £21m, reports the Daily Star.
