Caner Erkin is set for crunch talks with Fenerbahce over his future.
The Daily Star says Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers recently spoke of his desire to add 'multi-functional' players to his squad this summer.
And the versatility of Erkin, who can also operate as a left wing-back as well as in the midfield, is likely to appeal to Rodgers.
While Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho - having let veteran full-back Ashley Cole leave the club - wants to add defensive cover to his ranks, but any new arrival is likely to play back-up to first-choice left-back Cesar Azpilicueta.
The left-back's agent, Batur Alt?parmak, revealed discussion with Fenerbahce are set to get underway first.
"We haven't agreed anything with Fenerbahce," Alt?parmak told TurkishFootball.com.
"We will hold talks with the club tomorrow."
