Liverpool captain Glatzel: We're ready for FA Youth Cup final

Liverpool captain Paul Glatzel is confident facing Manchester City in today's FA Youth Cup final.

Glatzel has made a successful return from long-term injury this season.

He said, “It's a big tournament. When you are a scholar, you look at that tournament and it's the one you want to be part of. To be get as far as we have this season is brilliant.

“Given the history and the players that have played in it, you want to be a part of that history. That's what we are looking to do.

“I know Jamie Carragher won it, Michael Owen and players like that.

“There are some winners who have gone on to progress in their careers and become professional footballers, but there are others that haven't.

“You want to be part of the history of the cup, but then you still need to keep progressing."
