Liverpool boss Klopp: More additions could follow Thiago

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says a deal for Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara may not be their last summer addition.

Thiago will follow Kostas Tsimikas in being Liverpool's two signings so far this window.

Klopp said, "Nothing changed. It's just about timing. Sometimes you buy before you sell, different scenarios.

"Sometimes you earn it back differently. What we earned on football, we spend on football. That is the short summary of the club. One key point.

"We are consistently looking at improvement. The window itself leaves the window open. October 5, so that is always the same. I cannot promise we will do something and I cannot say it is 100% sure we don't. It's the situation, it is developing."

Klopp had been all smiles at his news conference before the expected arrival of Spanish midfielder Thiago.

"There is nothing really to say. It's not official until it is announced. It looks quite promising," he laughed.

Klopp said his "hands are tied" about what he could say.

The move is expected to be completed later on Friday.

"If it happens, it has no impact on anybody's future in a negative way. Somebody has to leave if somebody comes in - no," added Klopp.
