Liverpool boss Klopp happy after making U21 scouting check

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was watching part of his Under-21s taking on Tottenham in Premier League 2.

The Reds' youngsters had a first team member in their midst, with Curtis Jones starting the clash.

Jones has struggled with injuries over the past 18 months, but is now back to fitness.

Klopp is said to have watched the first half, and then watched on briefly from the car park before leaving the club's Academy.

Jones had come off at half time as well, as the plan was only to play him for 45 minutes.

Liverpool Under-21s lost the game, mostly due to Calvin Ramsay's controversial red card.
