Liverpool boss Klopp confirms Matip in line to face Chelsea

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp revealed Joel Matip should be in contention to face Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday.

The Cameroon international missed the Reds 3-0 win over Southampton last weekend after sustaining a knock last week and did not travel with his teammates to Spain for their Champions League clash with Sevilla.

But Klopp says the centre-back should be primed for a return for the all-important clash against Antonio Conte's side.

"The squad looks good," Klopp told the club's website. "They are pretty much all here from the normal squad, apart from Joel. He is in Liverpool and full training, so all good.

"He is good. I think there will be a big chance he will be ready for Saturday, but there was no chance for this game - it was a little bit too quick, but it's all good."
