Lingard missed Al Shabab move

Former Manchester United star Jesse Lingard missed out on a last minute move to Saudi Arabia yesterday.

The Saudi Pro League closed their transfer window a day earlier than the European window.

Lingard was hoping that he could get a move to a Pro League side for the rest of the season.

However, Sky Sports states that Saudi outfit Al-Shabab were the only ones to show interest.

They were unable to get a deal across the line, leaving Lingard without a team until the summer.

He has not been offered a deal by any notable English or European teams, having not played since leaving Nottingham Forest in the summer.
