Anders Lindegaard has spoken highly of Manchester United's defensive performance against Sunderland on the weekend.
The Danish goalkeeper was handed just his second start of the Premier League campaign and helped keep a clean sheet but preferred to reserve praise for centre-backs Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand who started together for the first time this season.
"I think we played very well defensively," he said.
"We didn't let Sunderland have any chances in almost the whole game. It's maybe the best we've played defensively all season, but there's still room for improvement.
"Obviously the two of them know each other very well and they complement each other very well. The two of them played absolutely amazingly."
