Lille coach Jocelyn Gourvennec admitted frustration after their Champions League defeat to Chelsea last night.
Gourvennec insists they can b proud of their display home and away in the round 16 tie.
He said, “I am proud and frustrated. We got to the level of the two games. On the first leg, we had a big game, but we weren't good in the last 20 metres.
"Tonight, we put in intensity and good pressing. We had a great first period. We could have had 1-0, it's a turning point. There's Xeka's head and the two injured. It is a match where we responded.
"Players can be proud against a big opponent. The public answered, because they felt the heart and the courage. It's hard to lose and be eliminated, but to lose tonight, we didn't deserve that. It's hard to accept it. After, Chelsea is a great team and in a dramatic context for them, they responded. Our journey will be historic for the club."
