Robert Lewandowski is encouraging Barcelona to move for Lionel Messi.

As his contract runs down this season, Messi is being linked with a summer return to Barca.

Blaugrana striker Lewandowski said: "Messi will always be part of Barça.

"If he comes back, not just for the fans, but also for the players, it would be awesome. His place is here, in Barcelona. I don't know what's going to happen but I hope we can play together next season, we need these types of players."

On the season overall, the Pole said: "You can't change everything from one day to the next. In the first part of the season perhaps we have not been perfect every game. There are many new players, we have had bad luck with injuries, especially in the most important games, and it makes it more difficult."
