Foxes boss Craig Shakespeare is ready to approve the sale once they bring in a new striker.

Leicester had further talks with Manchester City on Friday about Kelechi Iheanacho and just now need to finalise terms with the Nigerian's representatives.

Slimani is expected to be on his way back to Sporting once the deal is confirmed.

Shakespeare also remains keen to sign another centre-back with West Brom stopper Jonny Evans his preferred target.
