Leicester City midfielder Andy King says the players are delighted with the arrival of Islam Slimani.

Deadline-day recruit Slimani, who joined City from Sporting Lisbon for £25.5million, is an Algeria team-mate of Riyad Mahrez.

"I have seen his goal record and Riyad speaks very highly of him," King told the Leicester Mercury.

"[He's] coming from a good team in a good league. I am sure he will be a good addition to us and fingers crossed he will be."
