Leicester manager Rodgers eases Champions League qualifying chances

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has cooled talk of the club's Champions League qualification push.

The Foxes are sitting in third, behind in goal difference to second-placed Manchester United.

"I said when I arrived that my ambition was to get European football regularly for this club, and see if we could challenge the top clubs," Rodgers said after beating Aston Villa last weekend.

"Beyond that, I'm not thinking about it so much. Everyone knows naturally what getting Champions League football means to a club and what it brings to a city, but I tend not to think about too much, especially when we're so far out."
